From time to time we’re going to feature a MERA technician, whose efforts averted a potential disaster. Here is one such story.

  • The Setting: The lab in a 30-bed hospital in the vast plains of Wyoming.
     
  • The Players: The lab staff; representatives of 2 leading manufacturers; Brett McClain, the MERAffiliate technician and his office manager.
     
  • The Problem: Manufacturer #1 was on its way to install a new lab system. This required hookup to another system made by manufacturer #2 (our client), who thought they had ordered MERA to install it, but had not. Prospect: a disappointed customer and very unhappy manufacturers.
     
  • The Solution: The MERA tech was re-routed from a long distance away, arriving just in time to make the installation and hookup. This met the needs of the customer and manufacturer #1, while saving face for our client.
