I would like to share a few thoughts regarding the positive aspects of working for a small Independent Service Organization (ISO) like Labcare Corp. Having previously worked as a Field Technician for a major medical manufacturer, I have experienced both the positives and negatives of the large company vs. small company approach to exceeding customer expectations.
Two strong positives that spring to mind in favor of ISO work are the lack of bureaucracy in our daily operations as well as the ability to effect change “on the fly.” In the large company model I felt handcuffed by management directives that often made little sense and were created by folks with not much concern for the reality of field operations.
